I know we’re well past the Fourth of July now, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still make these cookies! I blogged this exact recipe a few years ago, but honestly, they are SO good they deserve two posts!!
I’ve never been a big fan of sugar cookies, but like everyone else in the world, I love those massive pink sugar cookies from Walmart! 😂 These cookies are just like them!! Obviously you can make them thinner if you’d prefer (I did – still amazing!).
The decorating is super easy (especially if you’re not a professional, like me), and it makes me want to try a bunch of other cookies with royal icing! My best tip is to hold you icing bag far away from the cookie, and let the icing drag as you go around the cookie. The icing is thick enough that it’ll stay in a beautiful ribbon and fall exactly where you want it to!
