It is insane to me that this is the end of an entire decade! And I just realized that I’ve been blogging for well over a decade (since 2008!)… How on earth that happened, I have no idea. So much has changed since then! Blogging has seen me as I graduated high school, started working at Chick-fil-A, started my career as a wedding photographer, met my future husband, ended my career as a wedding photographer, GOT MARRIED (!!!), and began my career as an editor!

And of course, a million memories have happened in between. The things I mentioned above all happened in one decade, so who knows what will happen in the next! Hopefully having children, maybe moving/building a new home, helping to cultivate Chris’s passions, and growing more in our faith! Nobody knows exactly what is coming, but I am so excited for what the future holds!

You can see all the past year-in-review posts below!

I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to continue doing this post every year, because I don’t blog nearly as much as I used to! I don’t have all the small posts to link to anymore, and I’m not sure if it’s as fun for my readers! For us personally, I’m making a massive photo book with our memories for this year, and in my mind that’s kind of taking the place of this post. But I’d love to hear your thoughts, and if you’d like to continue seeing them every year!

January
I went to Mount Crawford Creamery to take some photos of the cows so I could print them for the dining room! A whole year later, and I still absolutely love these pictures 😄 I shared three recent projects that Chris had finished, and on the 16th Lincoln began his final heartworm treatment! I made a big catch up post to highlight a few things – mostly the snow we had recently gotten! Then in the greatest news, we got our wedding photos back! I was in heaven. I still am, and I can’t wait until the day I’m able to afford the massive wedding album I designed!! 😆 ALSO on the 16th, my sweet niece was born! We all just adore Penelope, and she’s been the greatest addition to 2019! To end the month, I shared our huge dining room renovation. I’m still obsessed with the change!

February
This was the month to try new recipes, because I shared an amazing chocolate chip banana bread recipe, and a classic peanut butter pie recipe! We got our wedding video back, and I swooned all over again 😍 Our dining room was finally completely done when Chris finished our gorgeous oak table, and I am still obsessed with it!

March
On the 9th, we celebrating Lincoln’s birthday! Being a rescue, we don’t know for sure what day he was born, but March 9th was what was listed on his papers, so that’s the day we celebrate! Every dog deserves a birthday 🙂 I finally conquered my fear of cinnamon rolls, and I took pictures of Chris’s grandpa with his new-to-him 1957 Pontiac! It is the BEST color! Chris and I planted a bunch of trees on our property, and I shared my tips and tricks for not losing your mind if you’re a neat freak living with a super-shedder 🙂

April
I shared photos I had taken of Joelle in IKEA, and the curtains Chris got me for my birthday! I found the best fake fiddle leaf fig, and it was only $50!! 😍 Chris cut out a sign I wanted in the living room, and I took some pictures of the beautiful spring around the house. We celebrated Easter in Sweet Springs, and I took lots of pretty flower pictures! Two recipes to end the month: a delicious kielbasa bake, and homemade nutter butters!

May
May was a busy month, but pretty quiet on the blog! Our friends, Chelsie and Lucas, got married, and we celebrated dad’s 50th birthday with a big party! My big project of the month was painting two of our front doors bright yellow! It’s such a happy color, and I can’t wait to see it in the snow.

June
Another busy month! Joelle and I ran two 5ks, and they were so fun! I shared photos of our house a year after purchasing, and all the improvements we’ve made. We also had our annual family trip to the lake, and it was Penny’s first family vacation!

July
Even more recipes to share! The BEST banana oatmeal cookies, perfect sugar cookies (decorated as fireworks!), and sausage gravy! I took pictures of Joelle with a bunch of sparklers for the Fourth of July, and they’re some of my favorite pictures of her. Chris made some metal plant hangers, and I filmed a quick video of it! I also designed a wood nightstand organizer, and it’s the most helpful thing ever!

August
Chris, Joelle, and I went to the West Virginia State Fair, attending the antique car show with the ’57 Pontiac! Our BIG home project of the year was completely re-doing our kitchen cabinets! I am obsessed with them, and I’m so happy that they’re finally white!! Chris also made a hexagon wall shelf that I’d been dreaming of for months 😍 My friend, Mika, and I made homemade macarons, and they didn’t fail!! We were shocked and so pleased 🙂 We also took pictures in a sunflower field, like every year 😄

September
It was a boring month on the blog, with only one blog post! Mom and I canned peach and apple pie filling, and it makes the most delicious pies!! I got to babysit Penny, we celebrated Colten’s first birthday, and I delighted in the fact that fall was almost here 😄

October
It’s the best month of the year!! I shared two new fall recipes… Pumpkin spice cookies, and baked pumpkin donuts! On the 26th, we celebrated our first wedding anniversary with a trip to a cabin in the woods. It was such a fun time, and it was wonderful to get away for a weekend!

November
I guess I’ve turned into a boring blogger, but I’m very content with that! I feel so present in our family events, and I don’t feel like everything has to make it to the blog. But I did share the bench my wonderful husband made for our front porch! We also took pictures at Ravens Roost for our Christmas card photo, and they’re my favorite from the whole year!! Thanksgiving came and went, and it was finally officially time to celebrate Christmas!

December
This year truly flew by! I made some super cute gingerbread houses to display in the dining room, and we took our annual trip to see the Greenbrier at Christmas! I shared the best blueberry pancake recipe, and our wrap-up of Christmas 2019!

And now for the best part… the photos! 😍 Just a few of my favorite pictures taken throughout the year!
